Combined Expatriés Launch and Festival Creole 2009 Dance
The Mauritian Native Arts Foundation (Aus) Inc invites you to support Christian by attending the combined Expatriés Music CD Launch and International Festival Creole 2009. This will be an event not to be missed. His third album "Expatries" reflects his real life's experience in Australia, his country of adoption. He describes the challenges, the ups and downs of life in the land downunder and over and above all, the realisation that Mauritians will be Mauritians wherever they may be. The multi faceted cultural challenges are very much alive and well within the expatriate Mauritian Communities worldwide. Hence, the inspiration that led him to dedicate 18 months of total dedication to this third album "Expatries".
In other words, you will see much of yourself in the songs contained in this "Expatries" music CD album
This event will be held on Saturday 31 October 2009 at Gaelic Park Hall, 324-334 Perry Road in Keysborough, Melbourne.
Tickets: Adults and Children 5yrs and above $15; Children under 5 yrs free entry but no seating.
Christian Calou will interpret ""Expatries" and other songs from the album, in his own unique style.
DJ by Stephan Disco. BYO Drinks and Glasses, Snacks will be on sale by Christelle and Emmanuel.
